Federico Bellini

He was born in Forlì in 1976.From 2017 to 2020 he is dramaturg and assistant to the Artistic Direction of the Venice Theater Biennale. Since 2002 he has collaborated with Antonio Latella as dramaturg for the shows: Querelle, I Trionfi, La cena de le ceneri, Studio su Medea, Moby Dick, Non essere – Hamlet's portraits, La metamorfosi e altri racconti, Don Chishotte, Mamma Mafia . He is dramaturg at the Nuovo Teatro Nuovo in Naples, for the 2010/2011 season, where he writes: Caro George (directed by Latella), Prometeo (directed by Pierpaolo Sepe), Il Velo (directed by Tommaso Tuzzoli) and Tutto ciò che è grande è nella tempesta (directed by Andrea De Rosa). In 2011 he wrote (together with Linda Dalisi and Antonio Latella) the dramaturgy of Francamente me ne infischio and in 2012 Studio sul Simposio di Platone directed by Andrea De Rosa. In 2013, together with Latella and for his direction, he curated the dramaturgy of A. H. and Die Wohlgesinnten (Le Benevole). In 2015, always with Latella, he curates the dramaturgy of Ti regalo la mia morte, Veronika, ERT production. In 2016 he was tutor for the dramaturgy for the Santa Estasi project, directed by Latella. In recent years, he curated the dramaturgy of Caligula and Oedipus for the Theater Basel, and Pinocchio (together with Latella and Linda Dalisi), at Piccolo Teatro di Milano, also directed by Latella. In 2019 he wrote with Latella Die drei Musketiere for the Theater Basel and Eine goettliche Komoedie, Dante / Pasolini for the Munich Residenztheater, a show selected for the 2020 edition of the Berliner Festspiele’s Theatertreffen. He has various experience in the education sector and is juror in the Hystrio award for dramaturgy.
